"ToyotaFamily" (robbav35)

I m ade some progress on my LS430’s to-do list this past month by installing a Bluetooth unit. This is the first car I’ve owned with BT & I never wanna go back to cords.
Install was a breeze, but it was still a bit nerve-wracking taking apart a perfect interior and radio to install. Having the right tools and taking my time sure helped it go smooth though .
Now phase 2 begins, finding an OEM or Aimgain lip kit so I can get these cracked bumpers resprayed. Luckily JDM Classics is having an open house this Sunday so I’ll ask them.

Sweet! BT is one of those things you don’t realize how important is until you don’t have it* (except on the Honda I’m getting rid of, the BT is so terrible I use a cord anyway).
Just since I’m curious, what’s the square pop out to the right of the ECT button?

I honestly thought BT was unnecessary but I was so so wrong.
And it’s a little storage pocket, kind of useless though. Too short for some pens and too narrow for much else.

Yeah, that’s the one. Had some Crutchfield points so figured why not.

I’ve used it for things like sunglasses or garage openers. And for excess cable storage because I only thought I could add bluetooth with a combination of a c assette adapter and a bluetooth receiver I stuck on the dash. Your solution is way better!

The unit is well worth the price. I used a cassette adapter for about 10 minutes and got tired of the quality, cigarette lighter is in an odd spot so that nixed using a transmitter for me.

How does the quality compare to a CD? If I get another 430 I want to do this, but only if it does the ML system good.

It’s comparable to CD quality. I’d say it’s better than using a transmitter and aux cable, tiny bit less than a CD.
